I've loved seeing all of the extra traffic, and it is so nice to be able to meet other bloggers. I agree, I am definitely more likely to keep visiting, and commenting, on a blog if I feel that my comments are really being heard. And the best way to show that is to comment back. I am new to book blogging and have just revamped my personal blog. The challenge now is build up a readership that visits regularly. I haven't received an email from any blogs where I have posted comments, but there are two that I visit regularly where the blogger responds to comments - sometimes a simple acknowledgement, sometimes a more detailed response.
