I finished chapter 2, sent it off to my sister with a grin on my face, and then scanned over the few lines I already had for chapter three. I added a few paragraphs, read again, tweaked a couple things, and then reread. Bedtime.
I did the same thing the next morning. Rewrote the whole thing, slightly different. Then I wrote it again, starting from a different point. Cursed at my computer a bit, and closed the document for the day.
Same thing the next day. And the next.
I can usually be well into a novel before I hit this point. Writers’ block sucks. I left it alone for a couple days. I didn’t even think about the story. Finally, a night or two ago, I broke through. I have an outline for Chapter three, and I’m currently in the process of writing it. I’m introducing a few things a little earlier than I initially planned on, but it works.
So, it has been a bit of a wait, but I’ll try to get the next chapter up for you this coming weekend. I’ll be finishing it up on Friday (gave myself the day off to write– I can do that; it’s my birthday), sending it to my editor for a bit of remedial work, and then posting it.
